Regional Agri Head (AVP / VP)

National Bank of Pakistan, 'The Nation's Bank', aims to support the financial well-being of the Nation along with enabling sustainable growth and inclusive development through its wide local and international network of branches. The Bank is looking for talented, dedicated and experienced professionals for the position of Regional Agri Head (AVP / VP) in the area of Inclusive Development. This is a 3-year contractual position that may be renewed at the discretion of the Management. The position is available at multiple locations across Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

• • Implement regional agri-business strategies aligned with national goals and IDG's vision
• • Develop and execute region-specific action plans to increase outreach, portfolio growth and Agri-product penetration
• • Identify Agri-sector opportunities, emerging trends, and regional needs to tailor solutions
• • Achieve disbursement, recovery and profitability targets for the agriculture portfolio
• • Ensure diversification across farm and non-farm sectors, crops and geographic areas
• • Monitor regional Agri-loan portfolio quality and take timely corrective actions to minimize NPLs
• • Lead and mentor Agriculture Team Leaders, Agri Officers, and field teams to ensure high performance
• • Promote a culture of discipline, compliance, innovation and customer-centricity
• • Build and maintain relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, government departments, NGOs, agri-input suppliers, and rural communities
• • Represent the bank in regional forums, farmer gatherings, and agricultural exhibitions & Facilitate partnerships with extension services and agricultural research bodies
• • Provide accurate and timely reports on performance metrics, regional insights, market intelligence and challenges to the Regional Executive and Head Office
• • Perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Requirements

• ✓ Minimum Graduation preferably in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Finance or Marketing from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by HEC of Pakistan
• ✓ Master's degree in the same discipline or equivalent from HEC recognized university / institution (preferred)
• ✓ JAIBP / AIBP certification(s) (preferred)
• ✓ Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Agricultural Lending and / or Farm Credit Operations and / or Agri-Business Management
• ✓ Experience preferably within a large commercial bank
• ✓ Hands-on experience in managing regional agricultural portfolios
• ✓ Experience supervising field teams
• ✓ Experience engaging with farming communities and agribusiness clients
• ✓ Proven record of business acquisition
• ✓ Familiarity with agriculture finance, including knowledge of the specific risks and dynamics of the agriculture sector
• ✓ Strong verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports, client communications, and presentations
• ✓ Strong command over MS Office
• ✓ Basic knowledge of the banking laws, prudential regulations and prevailing bank's policy
• ✓ Ability to work effectively as a team and coordinate with different departments
• ✓ Must be proficient with computer knowledge
• ✓ Sufficient knowledge about the banking sector
