National Bank of Pakistan, 'The Nation's Bank', aims to support the financial well-being of the Nation along with enabling sustainable growth and inclusive development through its wide local and international network of branches. The Bank is looking for talented, dedicated and experienced professionals for the position of Unit Head - Credit Policy (AVP / VP) in the area of Risk Management. This is a 3-year contractual position that may be renewed at the discretion of the Management, based at Karachi.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide support for the development, maintenance, and revision of the Bank's credit policies and procedures
- • Ensure that safe, sound, and compliant lending processes are in place that support the business growth in a responsible matter
- • Support business by providing input for the evaluation of new and existing product programs
- • Provide support in drafting new policy sections or revising existing ones
- • Propose clear procedures, guidelines, and credit standards for different financing segments
- • Provide clarifications to internal stakeholders on the Bank's credit policies and procedures
- • Coordinate with Auditors for the effective audit of the assigned function
- • Ensure prompt rectification of audit findings
- • Perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)
Requirements
- ✓ Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
- ✓ Master's degree (preferred)
- ✓ Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or ICMA (preferred)
- ✓ Minimum 6 years of banking experience
- ✓ Experience in Corporate and/or Commercial and/or SME banking
- ✓ Experience on the Business/Risk management side
- ✓ Experience in a Commercial Bank
- ✓ Knowledge of Corporate, Commercial, SME credit policies, credit procedures and SBP regulations
- ✓ Data and portfolio analysis capability
- ✓ Interpretation and comprehension of overall credit portfolio and highlight trends
- ✓ Interpersonal & writing skills

Education
Minimum Graduation (HEC recognized); Master's degree and/or professional qualifications (CFA, FRM, ICMA) preferred
Experience
Minimum 6 years banking experience in Corporate, Commercial, and/or SME on the Business/Risk management side in a Commercial Bank
