Qualifications

Masters or equivalent qualification in Law from any HEC recognized institute/university/college. Foreign qualification in Petroleum Laws, Policy and Contracts will be preferred. Valid License to plead cases on behalf of the Petroleum Division in the High Courts of Pakistan is mandatory.

Experience Required

Minimum 7 years of experience in legal practice, law firm, or government/corporate/autonomous bodies advising on international energy transactions, preferably LNG/LPG business and supply chain. Sound knowledge of Pakistani petroleum sector laws, rules, policies, and contracts. Experience in international and local arbitration cases in petroleum sector preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• • Provide legal counsel on petroleum transactions and contracts
• • Handle international and local arbitration cases
• • Advise on petroleum laws, policies, and amendments
• • Support on LNG/LPG business matters
• • Plead cases in High Courts of Pakistan on behalf of Petroleum Division
• • Ensure compliance with petroleum framework
• • Provide policy input on energy sector matters

Requirements

• ✓ Masters degree in Law from HEC recognized institute
• ✓ Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience
• ✓ Valid license to practice law in Pakistan High Courts
• ✓ Deep knowledge of petroleum laws and contracts
• ✓ Experience with LNG/LPG transactions preferred
• ✓ Sound understanding of international arbitration
• ✓ Maximum age 55 years
• ✓ Strong written and verbal communication
