Qualifications

Master's or M.Phil in Social Sciences, Criminology, Terrorism & Security Studies, International Relations or Public Policy from an HEC-recognized institution.

Experience Required

5 years of relevant experience, preferably in research methodology, policy formulation, or data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• • Design and conduct comprehensive research on violent extremism and security dynamics in Balochistan
• • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate research methodologies
• • Develop research proposals and publications for peer review
• • Collaborate with government agencies and research institutions on counter-extremism initiatives
• • Prepare policy briefs and strategic recommendations for Home Department leadership
• • Monitor emerging security threats and trends using research and intelligence analysis
• • Mentor junior researchers and support capacity building within COE-CVE

About Home Department Balochistan

The Home Department Balochistan, through the Balochistan Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (COE-CVE), is responsible for developing research-based strategies and policies to address security challenges and violent extremism in Balochistan. As a specialized research center, COE-CVE focuses on generating rigorous analysis to inform counter-extremism initiatives at the provincial and federal levels.
